Siyabonga Care Village

Siyabonga Care Village outside Vredenburg was blessed with a brand new bus on 23 May 2008.

Siyabonga is a non-profit organization caring for patients with terminal illnesses, HIV patients, Mentally and Physically Handicapped patients and patients undergoing rehabilitation after serious injuries. According to Sister Chrisna du Plessis, in charge of the center, they have been praying for a bus since 2005.

The dream started to become a reality when a St Helena Bay club, Shooters, closed it doors and donated the funds from their closing auction to the local Rotary Club as seedmoney. From there the project gained momentum and together with various rotary clubs and the Rotary Foundation the dream became a reality...
